Falconry Experience Day
4 hours (£70 pp max 4 people mornings only)
Our Falconry Experience Days are geared to give you as much first hand experience of falconry as possible.
We start out at the castle and go directly to Rose Cottage for a briefing on the safe handling of Birds of Prey. You will then be given a Falconry glove and bag for the duration of your experience.
We show you how the birds are weighed and explain the reasons for weight control in Falconry Birds.
You then be shown how the bird's food for the day is prepared before taking out the birds that need to be flown that day.
We stop for a break before going into the legal requirements for owning a bird of prey and explain with demonstrationss how various items of equipment are made.
Finally we drive three minutes to our local woodland where you will get the chance to call a Bird of Prey to your fist.
We end the experience back at the castle with a dilicious Cream Tea.
